Michele Mari e Gianfranco Baruchello pubblicano un volume intitolato Sogni (2017), composto di due sezioni: una prima contiene trentasei frammenti dello scrittore, stampati su carta usomano gialla, dal titolo Oniroschediasmi e una seconda raccoglie sessantaquattro riproduzioni dei disegni di Baruchello, su carta patinata avorio, intitolata In Store. Oggetto del contributo è la questione dell’autorialità in tre composizioni iconotestuali e autobiografiche di Michele Mari: Filologia dell’anfibio. Diario militare (1995), Asterusher. Autobiografia per feticci (2015) e Leggenda privata (2017). Nel diario, Filologia dell’anfibio, Mari racconta nella forma di uno pseudo-trattato il periodo trascorso presso il Centro Addestramento Reclute di Como. Il testo è illustrato da disegni tratti dai propri diari dell’epoca. In Asterusher. Autobiografia per feticci, ricalcando la forma tripartita dell’emblematica, Mari ha giustapposto le fotografie di oggetti familiari e alcune citazioni tratte dalle sue opere precedenti. The aim of the paper is to analyze the narrative and photographic thresholds of Leggenda privata by Michele Mari (2017). The first case is a rhetorical artifice, a horror-gothic-fantastic narrative threshold, that Mari creates to distinguish the present of writing from the past of memories, intended, as I will try to demonstrate, to problematize the crucial questions of autobiography: incipit and explicit of the narration, literature and bios, fiction and non-fiction. Nel 2019 Michele Mari pubblica una seconda edizione del fototesto Asterusher. Autobiografia per feticci, con l’aggiunta di sedici pagine. The aim of this paper is to compare three recent republications of Michele Mari’s works, Di bestia in bestia (1989 Longanesi and 2013 Einaudi), Asterusher. Autobiografia per feticci (2015 and 2019 Corraini edizioni) and Leggenda privata (2017 Einaudi),which all show consistent changes. The intention is precisely to point out the reciprocal relationships between these works and the different ways they have been transformed, both in the cases of literary writing alone and in those involving phototextual forms, in order to trace a possible unity of intent. Leggenda privata (2017) is the latest in a series of autobiographical writings by Michele Mari. The novel is the factual narration of the author's childhood and adolescence, documented by family photos, but is also the narration of a fictional and fantastic situation of writing, where the reader is involved in live recording. In particular, the narrative framework is structured almost like a personal essay that engages dialogically the norms and potentials, opportunities and risks of a theory of autobiography. A recent expanded edition of the book Asterusher by Michele Mari (2015 and 2019) suggests some reflections on the completeness of autobiographical discourse. The composition of the autobiographical phototext, with a systematic tripartite form and inspired by the tradition of the emblem, is identical in the two versions. The addition of some pages has not changed the original structure of the volume but asks questions about the possibilities of revision and/or completion of an autobiographical narrative, about the possibilities of rewriting an autobiography in the form of a diary, almost like a “curriculum” with continuous updating.
